Since 2006, through education and enterprise, Stephanie Woollard has devoted more than a decade to changing the lives of over 5,000 disabled and marginalised women in Nepal. At Seven Women’s HQ in Katmandhu fair trade clothing and crafts are created and sold both locally and internationally. Stephanie strongly believes that “the best way to help is to empower women through trade not aid”.  Through team motivation and leadership,

Stephanie has moulded an organisation that truly makes a difference to thousands of people and in 2019 was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in recognition of her work in Nepal and inspiring young Australians to act beyond self-interest. In 2016 Steph was presented at the United Nations New York with the Rotary International Responsible Business Award, followed by the Woman of the Decade Award at the Women’s Economic Forum in New Dehli in 2017.

HerWit worked with Stephanie to create a content and social strategy with the objective of elevating her personal brand by executing thought provoking content around her opinions and passion points focused on social issues coupled with leadership strategies and real-life examples of building a social enterprise and finding purpose to create positive change in society.

The piece on “The audacious goal that raised $75,000 for Seven Women in a single evening” was picked up by LinkedIn Australia* (with 4.5 million active users across Australia) Editorial team to be published on their weekly newsletter across the region.

We continue to work with Stephanie and look forward to growing with her through her successes with Seven Women and Hands On Development.
